Event Details

Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes is like no other event. We will walk with hundreds of passionate people from our community. Join your neighbors, local businesses and volunteers and join this beautiful walk.

Step Out Philly is a great event for our community to come together, support those living with diabetes, and raise funds.

We walk rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. Your health and safety are our priority. In the event of severe weather or lightning, the event may be postponed or canceled. You will be notified via email or text and this page will be updated.

Registration 7:30 – 8:30AM

Walk Start: 9:30AM

Champion/Red Strider Tent -- This is a designated area for our participants living with Diabetes and our Walk Champions. Special food and champion medals will be available.

Expanded Wellness Village -- Our Wellness Village features flu shots, blood pressure screening and more resources for all participants.

KidZone -- Join is all the fun activities and education for our youngest participants

* NEW ADDITION * -- Team Village -- Our new Team Village is a designated VIP Area for teams raising $2,000 or more. Refreshments will be served for Team Village Teams.

Parking: There is ample street parking surrounding the venue.

Mobile App: A lot of the Step Out action takes place on our mobile app! If you haven’t done so already, please make sure to download it (available on Apple and Android devices) or update to the latest version today so you’ll be ready to roll!

Event Photos and Social Media: Amplify our message, share your team spirit and tag us on Facebook @AmDiabetesEPA or Instagram @ada_epa_de and use the hashtag #StepOutPhilly in your posts.

Walk Route: The walk will be an easy stroll of three miles or less. There will be a fun start line along with sponsors sharing their latest information with you. The Navy Yard is pet friendly and the route is flat and ADA accessible.

The campaign has been expanded to include more members of our community and bring them together to learn about diabetes, healthy living and to support people living with diabetes. Step Out is a unique opportunity for businesses, clubs, friends and families to form virtual teams with the vision of a life free of diabetes and all its burdens.

The verification code for Visa, Master Card, and Discover is a 3-digit number printed on the back of your card. It appears after the account number or last 4-digits of your account number, in the signature panel.

The American Express verification code is a 4-digit number printed on the front of your card. It appears above and to the right of the embossed account number.
