The Step Out Walk is a great event for our communities to come together and support those living with diabetes and raise funds.
Step Out is a day full of fun and excitement as we celebrate people living with diabetes and fundraise in support of the mission of the American Diabetes Association®. If you can't join us at the walk, you can do a virtual option instead.
The in-person walk will be approximately 2 miles. The event will feature live entertainment, a Keiki tent and a Wellness Fair. Walk is a magical day that you and your family will love.

Mobile App: A lot of the Step Out action takes place on our mobile app! If you haven’t done so already, please make sure to download it (available on Apple and Android devices) or update to the latest version today so you’ll be ready to roll!
Using the mobile app, create your own virtual Step Out map by selecting between three different course options and choosing your own distance. Then, track your walk and progress to the finish line, and unlock special mission moments along the way.
Event Photos and Social Media: Be safe while taking photos and videos, and always observe social distancing guidelines. Please follow local health regulations. More Details to Come: The walk will be an easy stroll of three miles or less through a beautiful pathway. There will be a fun start line along with sponsors sharing their latest information with you. We will post more specific information as soon as we can!
2023 Step Out Walk for Diabetes – What to Know Before You Go
Directions: Meet at the bandstand area of the Kapiolani Park.
Parking: Parking is available at the Kalakaua Stalls along Kapiolani Park, as well as Waikiki Shell1 and 2. Metered parking can be found along the park as well.
Weather – We will walk whether rain or shine. the event of severe weather, the event may be postponed or canceled. If so, you will be notified.
Champions – We celebrate our top fundraisers in the Champion tent with special recognition.
Red Riders – Those who walk with diabetes can enjoy our Living Red tent.
Before and After – After checking in, light snacks will be available, as well as live entertainment at the Bandstand area. After you walk, you can pick up more snacks, as well as enjoy our Wellness tent and Keiki tent.
The Verification Code is imprinted on credit cards to help merchants verify transactions when the actual card is not present, such as Internet purchases or donations. The merchant uses this number as part of the authorization process with the card issuer.

Visa, Master Card, and Discover
The verification code for Visa, Master Card, and Discover is a 3-digit number printed on the back of your card. It appears after the account number or last 4-digits of your account number, in the signature panel.
The American Express verification code is a 4-digit number printed on the front of your card. It appears above and to the right of the embossed account number.
