Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes is like no other event. We will walk with hundreds of passionate people from our community. Join your neighbors, local businesses and volunteers and join this beautiful walk.

2023 will mark 32 years of being connected and walking for a cure! Funds raised will support lifesaving research, education, advocacy and support the over 37 million Americans living with diabetes and their loved ones. Nationwide Step Out is a Virtual Event - You can still participate virtually by walking from anywhere you are, any distance of your choice!

 Know Before You GO

Your fundraising page will be live through October 23rd. Today, take a moment to send out one more request for donations over email, text, or social media. Share your favorite moments from our celebration, how participating in Step Out has impacted you, or why finding a cure for diabetes is so important to you.

When fundraising closes on October 23rd, participants who have raised $100 or more will receive their Step Out t-shirt in the mail. Participants who raise $250 or more will receive an email with a certificate code to choose a “thank you” gift that will be shipped to them. Check out all our awesome recognition choices HERE.

Important Note: Red Striders who raise $100 by August 21st will receive their Red Strider shirt in the mail before the virtual event on September 23rd. All Step Out: Nationwide recognition gifts will be mailed 30 days post event for those who reach the milestone levels. Check out the 2023 Step Out Recognition Gifts.

The campaign has been expanded to include more members of our community and bring them together to learn about diabetes, healthy living and to support people living with diabetes. Step Out is a unique opportunity for businesses, clubs, friends and families to form virtual teams with the vision of a life free of diabetes and all its burdens.

The verification code for Visa, Master Card, and Discover is a 3-digit number printed on the back of your card. It appears after the account number or last 4-digits of your account number, in the signature panel.

The American Express verification code is a 4-digit number printed on the front of your card. It appears above and to the right of the embossed account number.
