Christian Fauria's Crusade for a Cure: Benefitting the ADA

Our everyday reality.

Over 34 million Americans are living with diabetes, with someone new diagnosed every 21 seconds. Another 88 million people are living with prediabetes, and here’s the scary truth: 8 in 10 of them don’t even know it.

We are committed for life to helping those living with diabetes thrive. When you join us, you help drive real change for our diabetes community. We can’t do this alone—we are Connected for Life.
We are united in the fight of our lives

Every day more than 4,000 people are newly diagnosed with diabetes in America. More than 122 million Americans have diabetes or prediabetes and are striving to manage their lives while living with the disease.

The ADA is the nation’s leading voluntary health organization fighting to bend the curve on the diabetes epidemic and help people living with diabetes thrive. For 80 years the ADA has been driving discovery and research to treat, manage and prevent diabetes, while working relentlessly for a cure. We are a community of families, friends, loved ones, volunteers, health care professionals, innovators and dedicated staff across the country. We help people with diabetes thrive by fighting for their rights and developing programs, advocacy and education designed to improve their quality of life.

Diabetes has brought us together. What we do next will make us Connected for Life.

And be sure to check out some of the programs and resources the ADA has to help people living with diabetes thrive. Here are just a few of them:

  • Created for those recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, our free Living With Type 2 Diabetes program offers participants an opportunity to learn about diabetes and diabetes management over a 12-month period.
  •  For more than 70 years we have offered summer camps for children with diabetes where they can become empowered and learn new diabetes management skills while enjoying a traditional summer camp experience. This year, despite COVID-19, camp wasn’t cancelled! Check out ADA Imagine Camp to learn more.
  • Our Ask the Experts series is designed to help people with diabetes tackle commonly faced issues by providing a community where individuals can ask questions of our experts and hear from others who might share similar experiences.
  • Make your voice heard on legislation that will benefit those living with diabetes by signing up to be a Diabetes Advocate. Stand up for diabetes research and programs, health care, insulin affordability, diabetes prevention and help support people living with and impacted by diabetes everyday—until we find a cure.
  • If you are struggling to pay for insulin or know someone who is, the ADA has resources to help—visit InsulinHelp.org.
