Dad was diagnosed with Diabetes when he went into a coma at 9 months old. The doctors didn't believe that he would live to see 18 years, but he was just over a month shy of his 69th birthday when he passed away.
He was a kind, generous man who would do anything for anyone. He was a dedicated Kiwanian for over 30 years and was involved in every project they had going on at any given time. Any time that anyone needed help with anything, Dad was right there to help.
Dad never let his diabetes hinder him in anything he truly wanted to do. He rode motorcycles, traveled the country from one coast to the other, loved hobbies like photography, fishing, growing orchids, cooking and spelunking. He adored his faithful companion, Rocky - his 160lb Great Dane that went with him EVERYWHERE. He married the one true love of his life and lived a rich, full life - and he always lived it to the fullest extent. He's left a big hole in the world and some really big shoes for us to fill.
