Support Me in Tour de Cure! I am doing something to stop this disease: you can do something too!
I will be running in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fundraising event (5k). I RIDE WITH INSULIN DEPENDENT DIABETES and NOT with performance enhancing drugs! Surprisingly, that means I don't have corporate sponsorship to fund my ride and my progress. That's where you come in! I need your help! Please support me with a donation by selecting the "Click Here to Sponsor Me" button. Our efforts will help set the pace in the fight against diabetes. So let's get in gear and ride to Stop Diabetes!
Help Make a Difference in the fight against diabetes!
Each mile I ride, and the funds I raise will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
No matter how small or large, your generous gift will help improve the lives of more than 23.6 million Americans who suffer from diabetes, in the hope that future generations can live in a world without this disease. Together, we can all make a difference!
Thank you for making a generous contribution to this cause that is so important to me!
Here is my diabetes honor roll of WHY I RIDE:
My diabetic brothers and sisters fighting every day: Sharron Shields (my mother), Elizabeth Stein, Mollie Eckhart, Joe Polich, Sean Landers, Taylor Labertew, Yvonne Matos, Vercel Johnson, Sarah Hilton, Oswaldo Meza, Orlando Meza, James Harter.
In memoriam: Lillian Shields (my grandmother), Gladys Sciortino (my grandmother), Earle Richards (my friend and the reason I ride), Mike Shields (my cousin who tragically passed), Ray Bodiford, Grace (my cousin's diabetic dog)
Please let me know if you would like to be added or if you know someone who deserves to be added to my honor roll! I am happy to add!!
