Welcome to my Tour de Cure page!
This will be my 26th year participating in TdC, before that my 1st fundraising ride for ADA was in 1973, yes 50 years ago I came across a brochure at a local McDonalds, about a fundraising ride for the local Camp I had attended ( now Camp E.D.I. - Exercise - Diet - Insulin) , a few years earlier. I participated and helped with this ride (Bike-A-Thon) for the first 13 years, later participated 3 more time 1998 - 2001, this overlapped the start of my participation in Tour de Cure 1998 - present.
A lot has changed since then, I have tried to stay active with the advocacy side of the ADA as well as trying to maintain an active lifestyle, which include bicycling, and pedestrian methods for commuting to work, I have enjoyed the life I have been given the opportunity to live, staying active with the advancements advocated through the American Diabetes Association,.
With all the ups and downs associated with life this has been one constant I am grateful for.
For over 30 years, Tour de Cure has helped impact communities nationwide and I’m riding to support the over 34 million Americans living with diabetes. Help Me Reach My Goal!
When you donate you make an immediate impact:
- You spread awareness of the devastating effects of diabetes.
- You advocate for a child with diabetes to have the same learning opportunities at school.
- You fund life-saving research that will bring us closer to a cure.
- You provide access to community programs and free resources that help those living with diabetes.
By participating in the Tour de Cure, I hope to inspire others to join me in this vital mission.
Thank you for making a generous donation to this cause that is so important to me.
