SUPPORT THE TOUR DE CURE 2023!
I frist would love for you to ride on the team! http://main.diabetes.org/goto/wahealthalliance
If you can't then support one of the great organizations helping millions of people from all communities.
My mom had type 2 diabetes and while she handled it pretty well this is still one of the most common preventable conditions in America. Each mile I ride and the funds rasied will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
The pandemic has really impacted the diabetic population especially in communities of color. We have an important call to duty for our community. In addition, where you live matters, especially for those with diabetes. Education, community outreach are very important in removing barriers for this population.
9.4% of the US population has diabetes! 25% of adults have pre-diabetes! How about 84 million reasons - There are 84 million Americans with pre-diabetes and 90% don't know it! - Supporting the TDC will help reach those folks and hopefully engage them in changing their behaviors and lifestyle. Your donations will help send a child with diabetes to camp learning not only how to manage their condition but also removing the stigma and helping them realize that they are going to be OK.
I will be cycling in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fundraising event in October 2022 for the 14th year. Please support me with a donation by selecting the "Click Here to Sponsor Me" button. Our efforts will help set the pace in the fight against diabetes. So let's get in gear and ride to Stop Diabetes! (or at least slow it down!)
