SUPPORT ME AND TEAM RED IN THE TOUR DE CURE!
On March 27, 2023, I'll be riding my bike in the virtual Tour de Cure Florida. It's my 14th year participating in this amazing event, and I hope you'll join me in riding your bike 10, 25, 50, 62, or even 100 miles. But the Tour de Cure is so much more than a one-day athletic event. It's a journey to ending diabetes.
Each mile brings us closer to stopping diabetes, an insidious disease that has impacted the lives of many of my loved ones. My mother fought Type 1 Diabetes for 35 years, until it finally won when she was just 56 years old. My nephew Mike died during a diabetic seizure on November 2, 2016, leaving his two teenage children and our whole family heartbroken. My niece Laura Lee struggles to meet the challenges of living with type 1 diabetes every day. Many other family members and dear friends also have diabetes. The funds I raise will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
No matter how small or large, your generous gift will help improve the lives of the 34 MILLION Americans who suffer from diabetes, in the hope that future generations can live in a world without this disease. Together, we can all make a difference!
