WELCOME to Eric's 2021 Tour de Cure New England page!
I’m BACK!! (You know what that means…)
So, a little back story first. I’ve been away from Tour for the last 16 months.
I needed some time to heal and recover physically from a perforated appendix, as well as some time to recharge mentally from a lot of different stuff.
But now, I’m ready and I’m back. It’s time to get RED and get rolling – for me, for the ADA, and for the 34 million Americans with Diabetes.
This year is also the 30th Anniversary of Tour de Cure, and I have a BIG goal in mind!
Alright, so this really didn't work out.. maybe I'll bring it back next year.
For this year, though.. I'm going to be riding 50+ miles on Sunday, August 29th. (The original date was supposed to be the 22nd, but there was that little weather thing.. plus, I ended up working. The great thing about a virtual event is that it can be rescheduled!!)
A few more words from me --
As most of you know, I've been a Red Rider/Living Red participant in Tour de Cure since 2009. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in 2005, and have been doing my best to thrive with it for over 15 years. Tour has been one of my passions since I first rode in Saratoga, NY in 2007. I've ridden in 25 Tour events in seven different states, met countless amazing people, and heard some incredible stories.. and I'm hoping to continue that well into the future. (Well, at least until we find a cure and don't need Tour anymore!)
And now a few words from ADA --
I am asking you to support me in the Tour de Cure® because finding a cure for diabetes is urgent and personally means so much to me.
This year Tour de Cure celebrates 30 years of making an impact in communities nationwide and I’m riding to champion the over 34 million Americans living with this terrible disease because they need our support.
Help Me Reach My Goal! When you donate you make an immediate impact:
- You spread awareness of the devastating effects of diabetes.
- You advocate for a child with diabetes to have the same learning opportunities at school.
- You fund life-saving research that will bring us closer to a cure.
- You provide access to community programs and free resources that help those living with diabetes.
By participating in the Tour de Cure, I hope to inspire others to join me in this vital mission.
Thank you for making a generous donation to this cause that is so important to me.
