WELCOME to Eric's 2022 Tour de Cure New England page!
I’m (and we are) BACK!! (You know what that means…)
After a successful Virtual ride in 2021 (I put in 60 miles from Johnston to Bristol and back), including another round of Champion fundraising, it's been announced that Tour de Cure is going back to in-person events!!!
Continuing the regional idea from 2021, I'll be riding the New England Tour de Cure on Sunday, August 21st up in Lexington, MA!
The goal is big again this year.. I want to raise $2000 for ADA and the fight against Diabetes.
And I'll offer the same challenge this year -- I'm planning to ride the Metric Century (100km/62mile) route, but if we make it to the goal of $2000, I'll ride the FULL Centruy of 100 miles!!
A few more words from me --
As most of you know, I've been a Red Rider/Living Red participant in Tour de Cure since 2009. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in 2005, and have been doing my best to thrive with it for over 15 years. Tour has been one of my passions since I first rode in Saratoga, NY in 2007. I've ridden in over 25 Tour events in seven different states, met countless amazing people, and heard some incredible stories.. and I'm hoping to continue that well into the future. (Well, at least until we find a cure and don't need Tour anymore!)
And now a few words from ADA --
I am asking you to support me in the Tour de Cure® because finding a cure for diabetes is urgent and personally means so much to me.
This year Tour de Cure celebrates 30 years of making an impact in communities nationwide and I’m riding to champion the over 34 million Americans living with this terrible disease because they need our support.
Help Me Reach My Goal! When you donate you make an immediate impact:
- You spread awareness of the devastating effects of diabetes.
- You advocate for a child with diabetes to have the same learning opportunities at school.
- You fund life-saving research that will bring us closer to a cure.
- You provide access to community programs and free resources that help those living with diabetes.
By participating in the Tour de Cure, I hope to inspire others to join me in this vital mission.
Thank you for making a generous donation to this cause that is so important to me.
