Welcome to my Tour de Cure page!
I am asking you to support me in the Tour de Cure(R) because finding a cure for diabetes is urgent and personally means so much to me.
As many of you know, my nineteen year-old daughter Jessica was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of eight. I am very grateful for the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and their efforts to find a cure and, until that time, to help those impacted by diabetes. I am a member of the Community Leadership Board for the North Texas ADA and this event is the largest fundraiser for the organization.
Please consider participating by either joining the Northern Trust - Dallas team, contributing, or volunteering your time. Please let me know if I can answer any questions and all ages can participate. I am excited for this year's event which will be held in McKinney, but there is also an option to participate virtually - allowing you to participate in the ride wherever it is most convenient for you. There are four different routes, with options from 10 to 63 miles, allowing you to determine the distance you are comfortable riding.
For over 30 years, the Tour de Cure has been making an impact in communities nationwide and I'm riding to champion the over 37 million Americans living with this terrible disease because they need our support.
Help Me Reach My Goal! When you donate you make an immediate impact:
* You spread awareness of the devastating effects of diabetes.
* You advocate for a child with diabetes to have the same learning opportunities at school.
* You fund life-saving research that will bring us closer to a cure.
* You provide access to community programs and free resources that help those living with diabetes.
By participating in the Tour de Cure, I hope to inspire others to join me in this vital mission.
Thank you for making a generous donation to this cause that is so important to me.
