Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
In December of 2009, I lost my son Danny when he was 34 years old after a 25-year battle with type 1 diabetes. He endured many health challenges including many surgeries ranging from eye surgery to the loss of toes then his leg. He spent the last years of his life on dialysis after his kidneys failed. He was put on a transplant list for a kidney and pancreas that he never received. Despite all of this, many infections, constant pain, many other health setbacks and challenges, Danny remained stoic and dealt with all the health issues with amazing strength.
I would appreciate your support as I help to raise money in hopes a cure will be found. No amount is too small, every little bit helps!
I signed up for the Tour de Cure so I can be a part of a bike event that helps change the course for people living with diabetes. I am going to be training for this ride and fundraising too. I have set a big goal, and I hope I can count on you to support me.
Over 37.3 million people are living with diabetes, and I want to help the American Diabetes Association continue its cutting-edge research, advocacy and education by raising critical funds.
I hope you will donate or register and join me and start your own fundraising.
