I HAVE DIABETES!

I am registered to ride the 2022 Tour de Cure Wine Country event, a 63 mile route on October 2, 2022 at Sonoma State University located in Rohnert Park, CA with the South Bay Mashers. Our team is made up of individuals who are diabetics like myself, and others who have or had family members and friends affected by diabetes. This is my eighth year on the South Bay Mashers team and riding this event along with many other thousands who want to put an end to diabetes. The South Bay Mashers team was founded in 2011 because our team Captain’s niece is a type 1 diabetic and he wanted to do something to find a cure for this disease by participating in this event. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) fundraising has supported efforts to advocate on behalf of 34 million Americans living with diabetes, fund research to bring us closer to a cure, and provide resources to healthcare professionals and anyone impacted by this disease. 

I personally want to do something to fight back against a disease that affects me and so many other lives by making a donation. So, the ADA can continue to fight for the future of people living with diabetes. The ADA gives a voice to those in need and is the leading authority on diabetes care so when people are diagnosed, they have a reliable resource by their side.
