Hello, this is Jeff Patterson.

On the right side of this page, I have displayed a personal, 1 min. video, of me talking about "Why" you should consider supporting the ADA.

Year after year, I have raised money to prevent diabetes, to fight the consequences and to improve the lives of all of those affected. As you may know I personally have been a Type 1 diabetic for over 40 years and have consequently given myself over 35,000 shots and many more finger pricks to test my blood. To say it is challenging would be a huge understatement. The complications of the disease are awful (i. e. amputations, blindness, heart and kidney deseases). I want/need to find a cure!

So many people are affected by diabetes and we need to do something about this disease. You can too, just by donating to the American Diabetes Association on my behalf. It would mean so much to me.

Every donation makes such a big difference. The money we raise for the Association funds critical diabetes research, information programs, and advocacy efforts that support the nearly 30 million children and adults in the U.S. with diabetes, and the 86 million with pre-diabetes.
