Welcome to my Step Out page!

You know me and you know my story. When I was 7 years old, I was diagnosed with diabetes, growing up I've heard dozens of misconceptions and half truths about diabetes. There are way too many stereotypes and bad press related to this chronic illness but I am proof that not everything you hear is true!

I work and play, I drive my muscle car and write my fantasy fiction novels. I'm passionate and enduring and I use this everyday to make myself more then a statistic or a standard for diabetes. Type 1 Diabetes is only a piece of who I am, not everything that I am.

So help me push forward and make diabetes a thing of the past, a second thought, only one part of the tapestry that is my life. Join me September 30th in Long Beach as I walk to make a difference in managing and maybe one day curing diabetes!
