Welcome to my Step Out page!

You know me and you know my story. When I was 7 years old, I was diagnosed with diabetes, growing up I've heard dozens of misconceptions and half truths about diabetes. There are way too many stereotypes and bad press related to this chronic illness but I am proof that not everything you hear is true!

I work and play, I drive my muscle car and write my fantasy fiction novels. I'm passionate and enduring and I use this everyday to make myself more then a statistic or a standard for diabetes. Type 1 Diabetes is only a piece of who I am, not everything that I am.

So help me push forward and make diabetes a thing of the past, a second thought, only one part of the tapestry that is my life. Join me September 30th in Long Beach as I walk to make a difference in managing and maybe one day curing diabetes!

Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes® is the premier fundraising campaign of the American Diabetes Association ^®, now with virtual engagement designed for anyone and everyone to participate. The campaign has been expanded to include more members of our community and bring them together to learn about diabetes, healthy living and to support people living with diabetes. Step Out is a unique opportunity for businesses, clubs, friends and families to form virtual teams with the vision of a life free of diabetes and all its burdens.

Credit Card Verification Code

The Verification Code is imprinted on credit cards to help merchants verify transactions when the actual card is not present, such as Internet purchases or donations. The merchant uses this number as part of the authorization process with the card issuer.

Visa, Master Card, and Discover

The verification code for Visa, Master Card, and Discover is a 3-digit number printed on the back of your card. It appears after the account number or last 4-digits of your account number, in the signature panel.

American Express

The American Express verification code is a 4-digit number printed on the front of your card. It appears above and to the right of the embossed account number.
