She's Dope! Ladies Spin for Change

Diabetes disproportionately affects women of color in the United States, and the CDC finds that women in minority groups are not receiving the screening services that help prevent diabetes from becoming a problem for these women. She’s Dope! Ladies Spin for Change hopes to raise awareness of these services, as well as funds for the outreach efforts led by the American Diabetes Association.

Ladies Spin for Change will feature West coast DJs LABellatini, Kaotic Blaze, Dawn Perignon, Jocelín, Reeact, and Hdubs raising money via the DASH Radio Twitch channel (www.twitch.tv/dashradio) on Thursday, May 27th from 6 PM PST to 12 AM PST. The event is a fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association (ADA) in its support for diabetes prevention among women of color. Sat. 5/1 - Our collaboration with Brujxs y Brunch en Vivo raised our total to $500! in just 3 days! I'm so grateful to LABellatini for leaiding this effort, and to our fundraising DJs! We had a great time on Twitch, too. Let's keep the momentum up through May!
