WHAT IS TOUR DE CURE®?

Tour de Cure is a year-round engagement and fundraising campaign that promotes healthy living and the mission of the American Diabetes Association®. With strong support from the business community including sponsorship and corporate teams, Tour de Cure events across the country raise funds for research, advocacy, programs and education.

Although we can't meet in person this year, Tour de Cure participants can choose to virtually ride, run, or walk at home or in their neighborhood to help support the ADA's mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. You can register as a Team Captain or participate on your own. If you are living with diabetes, please register as Virtual Living Red so your community of supporters can rally behind you virtually on event day and beyond! We are Connected for Life!

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN PARTICIPATING IN THE TOUR DE CURE?

Your participation and fundraising efforts support a path to a future free from the burdens of diabetes. Your engagement is recognized at certain fundraising milestones to congratulate your commitment to the mission. Learn more about our recognition gifts.

You will help the ADA grow its virtual army of supporters by recruiting friends, family and co-workers to ride, run, or walk with you social distancing apart, of course. We may be separated, but we are together in the fight against diabetes.

Virtual event day will be an interactive social experience to show our support for the participants with diabetes, share your virtual activity, celebrate fundraising accomplishments, and promote awareness about diabetes and the American Diabetes Association.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY RAISED FROM TOUR DE CURE GO?

"For nearly 80 years, the ADA has served as a leading authority on diabetes. In the past year, we've had some notable achievements, including scientific advances and quite a few firsts. We've helped people impacted by natural disasters, access to affordable medication, and supported unparalleled research projects at leading U.S. institutions. As we reflect on our progress, we continue our momentum—from testifying before Congress on the rising cost of insulin and working toward a solution to reduce costs, to partnering with the American Heart Association to help raise awareness of diabetes and its effect on heart disease the ADA is constantly looking at new ways to make an impact and improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes."
