Tell Congress: Fund Diabetes Research

Right now, Congress is deciding how much funding to provide for diabetes research and programs. It is critical to show the broad support for these programs. Will you tell your member of Congress why diabetes funding matters?

Support diabetes funding in LHHS Appropriations

Dear [Decision Maker],

I am writing to ask you to support funding for diabetes research and programs at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) at the National Institutes of Health and the Division of Diabetes Translation (DDT) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including the National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP), in the FY 2017 Labor Health and Human Services Appropriations bill. A deeper investment in these programs is essential both for our country's fiscal health and to improve the lives of the over 115 million Americans living with diabetes and prediabetes.

Our nation must address the diabetes epidemic. By supporting significant funding in FY 2017 for NIDDK and DDT, including the National DDP, you can improve the lives of all Americans living with, and at risk for, this devastating disease. Thank you for your consideration.
